Spring Break Is Over – Back To “School For Startups”

I’ve always loved Spring Break.  (What’s not to love, really?)  This year, I went with the fam to the Grand Canyon and basked in the beauty of the boulders.

canyonIn my mind, traveling is just a different kind of schooling–essential to a well-rounded education.  And, since I’m a lifelong learner, the travel bug is in my blood.

Yep, I’m a nerd.  I’ll admit it.  In fact, I actually like going back to the books almost as much as I like escaping from them.

So, this week, we’re going "back to school," as it were.  I was recently interviewed by author Jim Beach for the nationally syndicated podcast "School for Startups Radio" and wanted to share the experience with you.

Jim’s first book, School for Startups, was centered on the philosophy of low-risk entrepreneurship.  In the book, Jim argues that entrepreneurship is "not about creativity, risk, or passion."  Rather, he contends that anyone can "escape from ‘the man'" by "focusing on low risk ways to build for the future."

Take a listen (to any or all of the 30-minute taped segment) and hear my take on how the entrepreneurial spirit lives on in many different forms.  (Unless you have a hall pass, of course.  In which case, you’re excused!)
