According to Wikipedia, on Labor Day, we honor "the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country."
It is also the day on which we stop wearing the color white and open-toed sandals. This later dictate, however, is a complete mystery…to everyone.
